Stipends are provided for summer institutes (2-4 weeks long) for teachers at colleges around the U.S. on a variety of topics;

Sponsored by Elderhostel, provides 3 scholarships for a teacher to attend a road scholar trip;  deadline August

Math/Science

Department of Energy Academies Creating Teacher Scientists Program (ACTS)

3 year commitment, opportunity to work in DOE Labs during 4 week periods in the summer; deadline April 1, 2007

National Science Teachers Association Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award for New Teachers 

Award for teacher with less than 3 years experience to attend the NSTA National Conference, application due in October
